The M475 disc brakes are designed for optimum performance when used in combination with the BR-M475 (calipers), BL-M510/ST-M510 (brake lever), SM-RT61/50 (rotor) and Shimano pad unit (M08). The brake lever used should be a two-finger lever for V-brakes, such as the BL-M510/ST-M510.
In primul link de la Shimano Tech Docs ele sunt recomandate pentru o frana V-Brake, iar in al doilea link sunt recomandate pentru o frana Disk Brake. N-am gasit un document in care se specifica recomandarea lor si pentru v-brake si pentru disk-brake, dar multe din link-urile de la magazine online unde se gasesc ST-M510 de vanzare se specifica si compatibilitatea lor cu V-Brake si Disk Brake.
