The New Year's Tour is part of the Utrecht Cycling Trilogy, together with the Giro d'Utrecht, Tour d'Utrecht and Vuelta a Utrecht. Although this is technically already the fourth trip, the name remains a nod to the three major cycling rounds on which the concept is inspired.
