The routes of 150 and 200km take roads through marshes which are flooded in winter. One year not the other with mother nature, certain marsh roads are at water level one year and half a meter underwater the next or during the same winter move from one state to another.
The routes are therefore adjusted until the last week, as well you will only receive the routes in the last week before the hike in order to load the traces on your GPS.
The white marsh routes take a majority of small country roads, sometimes dirty, but offering you the most beautiful views of the marshes, the built heritage and the marsh fauna (cigognes).
The main towns you will pass through are: Sainte-Mère-Eglise, Pont-l'Abbé, Carentan, Isigny-sur-Mer and Trévières.
