Paris Roubaix 2026

Paris–Roubaix is one of cycling’s most famous one-day professional races, known as “L’Enfer du Nord” (The Hell of the North).

Held each April in northern France, it covers about 260 km and is defined by its brutal cobblestone sectors—rough, uneven farm roads that test bike handling, strength, and resilience more than pure climbing ability. Riders tackle around 30 cobbled sectors, including legendary stretches like Arenberg Forest, Mons-en-Pévèle, and Carrefour de l’Arbre.

Unlike most Classics, the race finishes inside the Roubaix Velodrome, where the winner traditionally receives a cobblestone trophy. Weather often plays a major role, and rain can turn the race into a muddy, chaotic battle.

Alongside Milan–San Remo, Tour of Flanders, Liège–Bastogne–Liège, and Lombardia, Paris–Roubaix is one of cycling’s five Monuments and one of the hardest races to win in the sport.
