Nova Bikemarathon Drásal 2026

The Drásal Bike Marathon is one of the most iconic bike marathons in the Czech Republic. The so-called zero year was held on Saturday at 8 am, June 26th, around 1990, or more precisely in 1993, when a group of enthusiastic cyclists from Holešov wanted to see how far they could ride a mountain bike in the Hostýnské vrchy in a day. About thirty bikers from Holešov and Zlín gathered on the Holešov square at that time. The first official year took place a year later, on June 25th, 1994. Svatopluk Janečka won among 52 bikers in a time of 6 hours and 55 minutes.

Jaromír Ondrušák, Jaroslav Bachner, Jirka Mrázek and Zdeněk Koláček, these four men were at the birth of the race, whose model was the great European marathons such as the Grand Raid Cristalp and the Samson Radmarathon. Since 1997, the race has been under the organizing baton of the Jardy, Bachner and Ondrušák duo. Another big change this year is the name of the race, which today no one calls anything other than Drásal.
