On Saturday the kick-off will take place in Dwingeloo with the Drentse 8 of Westerveld Toertocht. Participants can choose from 50, 80 or 122 kilometers. The 80 kilometers are a gravel tour.
On Sunday the 'Alternative Albert Achterhes Tour follows from Hoogeveen: Straight through Drenthe'. Four distances of 25, 50, 80 and 120 kilometers have been plotted for this purpose. Hand bikers can also start at the two shortest distances. A large part of the course is on the same route as the former Tour of Drenthe and this also includes a climb of the VAM mountain in Wijster.
